For years already Epson had proved to be one of the leading projector manufactures in terms of quality offered for the price asked. Another masterpiece by them is Epson V11H337020 powerlite home cinema model. With a lot of positive review it proved itself to be a great appliance that is suitable basically for all needs: from movie and sports events watching to gaming. Epson V11H337020 projector gives stunning picture with extremely pure colors, high resolution and contrast.

EPSON POWERLITE HOME CINEMA 8500 UB

Buying a projector for the first time in my life and being a very pedantic and through person I was researching the projectors market for over 6 months before I felt ready to make a choice. Basing on ratings, reviews and prices I compared many models looking into their positive and negative sides. It was a huge research job and finally there was a winner – I had stopped my choice on Epson V11H337020 lcd projector as according to reviews and technical characteristics it seemed to be the best. The whole family was very eager to get it so we were very thrilled and enthusiastic while waiting for the projector to be delivered. There is no dedicated room in our house where we could make a home theatre so we were going to use our family room for it. We tried to prepare it for the projector viewing as much as possible: installed blackout curtains and screen, re-arranged the sitting area so that all family could enjoy the new theatre style of watching. When projector arrived it was ceiling mounted as it seemed for me to be the best option as could provide good ventilation for the projector itself and in the same time keep it far enough from our ears thus not disturbing with the fan sound. Besides, as I read in one of Epson V11H337020 reviews it occupies quite a lot of space and my wife was not ready to give a whole shelf to the projector but she didn’t mind the ceiling space at all. When arrived projector indeed turned out to be a rather big appliance at least comparing to those, which we use in the office. I knew the dimensions in advance but it still appeared to be more solid than I expected. Following the user guide we quickly connected it and tried to use the default settings. It was very simple to set up everything and I was very much surprised to find out that “out of the box” colors and brightness are of very high quality. Actually they are superb. We mostly use the eco mode as it’s colors seem to be more natural. The original idea before projector purchase was to use it instead of tv and I was a bit concerned on projector’s performance at day time when there is more light leaking into the room. And it is much better than I could hope for. Overall, the picture is detailed and sharp. The blacks are true blacks and still with details in them. Watching the sport events and high motion performances is like in the theatre. While movies are just amazing: even the old and not so good quality films played on this projector were bright and splendid. It is so pleasant to sit at night at home in a comfortable chair and enjoy a favorite old story on a big screen. To tell the truth after re-watching some of those recently released films, which I have already seen in 3D theatre, both my family members and me had found them much more beautiful on our home screen projected by new Epson V11H337020 than in the cinema. Kids and me too liked very much the quality of picture and motion during gaming sessions. I was worrying that the projector will get overheated after being in use for a long time but it didn’t. Will see how it performs after a year or so but the manufacturer offers a two-year guarantee, which makes me sleep well. Almost forgot to mention that the connectivity options of Epson also offer a wide variety including 2 HDMI inputs. Taking into consideration the amount of money I spent on Epson V11H337020 (was lucky to get it with a discount) I am extremely happy with this purchase as the quality I’ve got for the price paid turned to be exceeded all expectations. And I feel very happy that the time I spent on researching multiple reviews of Epson V11H337020 was worth that.

Not very often one can find such a product that will satisfy nearly anyone. The Optoma HD72 projector is one of these rare examples. Being priced quite affordably it offers a great number of strengths, which can hardly be beaten even by more expensive models. Optoma HD72 provides great image quality, vibrant colors, sharp and detailed picture. It is very user friendly and has barely any negative issues.

Optoma HD72 DLP Projector. The Optoma HD72 projector is a true 720p, high-performance projector for home theater enthusiasts. The HD72 features new technologies to deliver brighter and truer colors to the projected picture. The Optoma HD72 DLP home theater projector delivers great color saturation and subtle color details for the best image quality. Native 720p, 16:10 DarkChip2 DLP, 7 segment color wheel , 10 bit color per channel, processing BrilliantColor and TrueVivid color enhancement technologies 1280x768 native resolution 5000:1 contrast with ImageAI 1300 lumens.

Before I made a decision to buy Optoma HD72 I surely made some research about this product and discovered the following. Though the projector has been launched quite a long ago it is still being very well sold as has already been tried and tested by many customers. There are plenty of reviews of Optoma HD72 and they are all very positive. When I was reading them it surprised me that many of the users who bought this projector already a few years ago has updated later their reviews with some positive details like they still happily use it and continue enjoying its quality. I also came over a couple of professional reports on Optoma’s HD72 performance and had been glad to see that they are quite highly rating it. Of course there are some minor negatives but they are not important in my case and a definitely something I can live with. That is why I finally had ordered this model and have to say I never regretted it afterwards. During my research prior to the purchase I learned from one of Optoma HD72 projector reviews that it is important to buy also a good screen as it plays a vital role in the quality of picture. I could not afford the normal screen at that moment unfortunately but used instead (as one of the reviewers) a white window blind placing it on a wall in our basement room. There are two small windows there but they can be shut completely so the room has almost full light control. Il liked that Optoma HD72 has various mounting options as first we had put it on a shelf and a bit later placed to the ceiling. As for the picture quality, indeed, it is perfect. We had to play a bit with colors, brightness and contrast but the result we have got was worth those couple of hours spent. The image is bright and live, it is so attractive that we immediately purchased new DVDs with all our family favorite movies (including some really old ones) and locked ourselves at home with plenty of food for the whole weekend to re-watch all of them. It was such a pleasure to see them all on a big screen and in such good colors. The quality of picture is so good that we noticed many of the details, which earlier were missing. Especially it comes to the details in shadows that earlier seemed to be just big black areas. And of course watching such masterpieces like Lord of the Rings in such quality is a true pleasure. It is very good that Optoma HD72 has HDMI and DVI inputs as we download a lot of movies and series from the Internet so now we are very much looking forward to watch the next season of House M.D. in our home cinema. Another big plus is that remote has a backlight and is rather convenient in use. The menu is simple and logical and offers several color modes. When in use Optoma produces very little noise, which we hear only in quiet pauses and only if we on purpose try to listen to it. Otherwise it is not disturbing at all. The heating issue is actually not an issue – the main thing is that there is enough of air and ventilation around the projector. It does heat up but just a bit and now when ceiling mounted it has plenty of air. Taking into consideration its price I have to say that Optoma saves a lot. It provides a fabulous price/quality relation and helps us to avoid buying a bigger tv screen. As during breakfast we watch the tv set placed in the kitchen and a bit of evening news on the old plasma in the living room, I expect that the usage of projector will be limited to movies watching 2-3 times a week. That will let the bulbs serve us for a few years at least before we have to replace them and they are the most expensive part of the projector.

With the fast development of technology and high competition in the market more and more people are creating home theatres in their houses. There are plenty of projectors available for purchase now and they able to satisfy any needs. The Optoma HD73 model will best suit those who use their family room for movies watching and are a bit limited on the budget. As pointed in many reviews Optoma HD73 provides a close-to-cinema picture and is easy in use, as well as is quite a budget friendly model.

Optoma HD73 Home Theater Projector

Thinking of buying a home projector I was not ready to devote a whole room to cinema watching only and paint (as recommended) its walls and ceiling in black as well as cover all windows by strong blackouts. May be when the kids grow up and leave us I will create a real home theatre in the basement but by now we have to stay with our common room as the place to watch movies. At least we’ve put a screen on the wall to project onto. Taking it all into consideration when I started choosing a projector I was looking for a model that can be used mainly in a room with not full light control. What was also important that it should be easy to set up and use. Looking for the information in the Internet and reading the reviews I came to a conclusion that Optoma HD73 projector will be the best in our case. It turned out to be not big and not difficult to install. User manual has pictures and recommendations on best installation. When mounting it’s important to know that projector requires having space around it as the hot air is being expelled from one of its sides. So it can be either ceiling mounted or placed on a table in front of the screen. We did the last, as it is more convenient for us so far. When working Optoma produces a little noise but it is almost not noticeable especially during the movie. And it is definitely not comparable to most of office projectors. During movie watching our family members has been disturbed neither by noise nor by the heat of projector. This was one of my major worries so I am very happy. Default color settings are quite good and basically Optoma could be used straight after being unpacked but my son had made some calibration and it became even better. Several image modes are available and I found it to be very convenient. The Cinema mode is best to use in dark room (in our case it is at night or late evening time) – effect is very close to being indeed present in the cinema. Bright mode is good when there is some light in the room – good during rest of the day time as even with the blinds being closed there is always some light getting into the room. Among Optoma’s HD73 given modes there is also a User’s mode when you can save your own settings. We used this mode to save the result of our son’s calibration work. It is somewhere in between the Cinema mode and the Bright mode and we also use it a lot. In overall the image quality we got is perfect – bright and detailed. Optoma gives 1100 lumens output which is quite high for an inexpensive projector. Colors look the way they should and are deep and solid. Contrast of picture provided by this projector is very high – image is sharp with all details being visible. It is very enjoyable to watch the movies with this projector and seems that we will soon switch to watching it instead of TV. For example the sport events are also much more dynamic and thrilling when watching on a projector than on a TV screen. The Optoma’ s HD73 menu is easy to navigate and all settings can be adjusted with one or two touches of the buttons. Remote control is simple to use, too, and has a backlight. Connectivity options of Optoma HD73 offer basically all needed including an HDMI and DVI inputs. When I have been reading reviews of Optoma HD73 I came over several written by people using it for a couple of years or more already and none of them complained for any technical or breakage issues. This was very promising as I like its performance very much and hope it will not break in a year or two. By now it’s good to know that lamp is expected to serve over 3000 hours, which allows almost daily movie watching during several years. Besides, manufacturer offers a two-year warranty for this model.

Epson v11h412020 is an upgraded, “combo” projector in MovieMate line. But it is not just a projector – it is an autonomic portable movie system that can be easily carried from one place to another in order to give you the enjoyable viewing experience wherever you go. Such features, as integrated DVD player, powerful speakers, very durable lamp and powerful light output make this device the perfect choice for home entertainment.

Epson MovieMate 85HD (V11H412020)

At the beginning of this Epson v11h412020 review we must say, that MovieMate projectors can be called absolutely unique, because currently they don’t have any serious competitors with similar characteristic (those all-in-one devices that you can currently find on marked didn’t get anywhere close to Epson’s MovieMate line in functionality, brightness and image quality). At the same time, Epson v11h412020 would by far outperform many of the stand-alone projectors with the same price range.

Usually when you prefer the projector over TV, together with better picture quality you get a lot of problems to solve, but this model breaks the rule. All you need in order to get it ready for work is electricity, since other basic devices (audio/video source and speakers) are already hidden inside of the compact black box. However, it doesn’t mean, that you can use the inbuilt capabilities only. Plug in the sound system or headphones, hook it up with your Blu-Ray player, computer, thumb drive or video game console and enjoy your favorite music, hi-def movies, display slide shows directly from the digital camera or play videogames. Moreover, this is not a full list of options. For example, you can even connect the microphone and throw the karaoke party.

Small weight (only 9,2 pounds), comfortable handle and soft carrying case make it exceptionally easy to take the projector outdoors, on vacation or to the friend’s house. Besides, even though the manufacturer doesn’t position this device as a business projector, it is light, compact and powerful enough to be used for business purposes occasionally.

As to the picture quality, it is amazing for such functional and portable device. Epson v11h412020 is and LCD projector, that features 3LCD technology for deep, true-to life colors and smooth, dynamic picture. The average user will be absolutely pleased with skin tones, shadow details and black levels. They are not perfect, but great for the entry level home theater projector. The image looks well balanced overall.

It also has to be mentioned in this Epson v11h412020 review, that the device is respectively bright. 2500 lumen output makes it possible to watch the movie or TV show in ambient light conditions without a significant picture quality loss. Four basic picture modes allow to adjust the brightness and color temperature according to the environment and your specific preferences. Energy efficient and reliable lamp gives around 4000 hours of performance and using the low lamp mode will extend the lamp life up to 5000 hours.

The final verdict is simple: buy it, you’ll love it!

If you are looking for nothing more or less, than outstanding picture quality and great performance, Mitsubishi hc3000u home theater in the right variant for you. Remarkable color depth and accuracy, full set of calibration options, low level of audible noise and well laid out menu make viewing experience truly enjoyable.

Introducing a line of digital projectors designed for the cinematic connoisseur: the Mitsubishi HC3000 DLP projector with BrilliantColor technology from Texas Instruments. It delivers everything you would expect from a Mitsubishi home theater projector - long lamp life, low fan noise, and portability - but it's also setting new standards with innovative technology. The Mitsubishi HC3000 DLP projector, unlike other digital projectors, is able to produce a dramatic 4000:1 contrast ratio that accentuates deeper and darker tones to create an overall stunning visual experience with vivid images and brilliant colors. At the heart of the HC3000 is Texas Instruments' state-of-the-art TI DarkChip2 with the DDP3020 chip featuring BrilliantColor. BrilliantColor is a new, cutting-edge technology that enables higher brightness, by boosting the midtone color levels, while providing truer, more vibrant colors for realistic and lifelike images. Be it sports, movies or television, the HC3000 can turn your home theater room into a virtual stadium, cinema, or studio. As soon as you switch it on, you'll see it. And then you'll understand. This is a product of tomorrow that brings home real entertainment today.

Let’s assume that you want to get a really nice projector: powerful, colorful and solidly constructed, but you don’t have a couple of thousand dollars to spend on it. In this case you need to read through this Mitsubishi HC3000U review and find out about an exceptional model that will fulfill all of your requirements, because the manufacturer managed to keep its price low without sacrificing picture quality. Even though you won’t find many additional features here, practice shows that most of the consumers don’t find the majority them useful.

The strongest point of this device is an excellent color reproduction. The best way to check it is to pay a close attention to the flesh tones. You don’t have to be super sensitive to notice, whether the colors of the skin are generally natural and adequate to the light conditions. With Mitsubishi hc3000u projector you won’t feel like picture has a yellow, red, green or any other unnatural tint; colors look just the same as they are in real life.

Another important moment is the color intensity. While most of this model’s competitors fail to deliver deep colors and their black areas actually look gray, Mitsubishi hc3000u does a very good job with displaying real black. The same thing can be said about the shadow details, which are clearly visible. If you like horror movies, excellent blacks and shadow detail performance is a strong argument in favor of this projector.

Brilliant Color technology is something that you might find very useful too. In some situations, like watching sports events, animated films or TV shows, extra brightness makes image more vibrant and rich overall. By switching on the Brilliant Color function you will boost the mid tones and significantly increase the picture’s realism.

Mitsubishi hc3000u has a very simple menu, therefore, if you would like to adjust some settings, you probably won’t meet any problems. All the control options are broken into four sections, so basically you only have to pick right section, choose the needed position on the list and make calibration, using the arrow keys. This device allows user to save personal settings and apply them either from the menu, or using the remote control shortcut.

The projector does not require any regular maintenance thanks to the filter-free design. It means that you don’t have to waste your time on cleaning the air filters every month. After installation of the unit you can forget about it for a long time. However, the manufacturer recommends wiping the dust from the projector once in a while.

Bottom line of this Mitsubishi HC3000U review: if you want to enjoy watching high-quality video without having to leave your house, but you can’t spend a fortune on a projector for home entertainment, stick with this model.

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 (V11H373120)

Sharp, bright picture, high resolution and natural colors will add much pleasure to watching your favorite TV show, movie or sports event. Moreover, you can see every small detail of the high definition video and make sure you didn’t miss anything important. Impressive contrast ratio and high light and color output stand behind this perfection.

Of course, the image quality depends on how the room is illuminated, but the quality loss during the daytime or with the lights on is really insignificant, considering the fact, that Epson PowerLite Home Cinema provides the specific picture modes for different illumination intensity. In order to guarantee the excellent performance, each mode has a set of specific parameters, which will be effective under the particular conditions. For example, Dynamic preset is supposed to be used in a bright room, because it features the highest lumen output, the Living Room mode is not as bright, but the colors here are much deeper and the Cinema mood has the smallest light output and it should be used in a dark room, although the color balance, gamma and the level of black is simply perfect, so the picture gets as beautiful, as possible.

After reading this Epson V11H373120 review you will also know, that this projector will surprise you with many useful features, one of them is a simple operation. With the help of the remote control you can adjust many parameters, including light level, contrast, color and sharpness and the projector will memorize your individual settings. But even though Epson powerlite home cinema has a wide variety of valuable options, you might not even want to switch from the default image settings, which provide a perfect balance of light and color.

In addition to the great picture you can also enjoy every soundtrack and dialog in the movie, because the projector Epson V11H373120 doesn’t produce any noise at all, so it won’t disturb or irritate you while watching something.

Even though this powerful device is pretty big, it won’t take much room because it can be mounted directly to the ceiling. No matter how high or low the projector is installed, by shifting the lens you can make the displayed picture perfectly square.

Epson’s revolutionary technologies guarantee, that in a long run you will still get the same outstanding performance and picture brightness. Another thing, which should be mentioned in this Epson V11H373120 review, is that projector is perfect for watching the action movies thanks to the high speed iris function that automatically adapts the light output up to 60 times in a second.

So, if you want to have a small movie theatre inside of your house, you should buy this projector. Its excellent performance and the number of useful options definitely worth the money you’ll spend

Panasonic pt ae4000u home theater stands out among the competitors with its perfect picture quality, placement flexibility and brightness, besides, it is easy to setup and calibrate. Considering overall performance, functionality and reliability, it can be deservedly called an “advanced projector”, although its price is closer to the entry level models.

Projectors, Panasonic, PT-AE4000U 1600 Lumens 1920 x 1080 100000:1 LCD Pr, PT-AE4000U

If you want to become an owner of the truly powerful projector that delivers colorful, clear true-to life picture, then read this panasonic pt ae4000u review, because this machine is one of the best values in market today.

Image quality is the first thing that matters, when it comes to choosing the projector. Panasonic pt ae4000u does an excellent job with color depth, accuracy and brightness right out of the box. The manufacturer have improved the red tones, making images look much more vivacious and enhanced black levels, which now became really dark without a grayish touch to them. Skin tones look realistic and warm as well.

Panasonic pt ae4000u projector will not disappoint you with shadow detail performance either, because the details in dark areas of the image appear very clear. If you won’t be fully satisfied with detalization of dark spots on default settings, just increase the brightness a little bit.

Overall image quality is splendid, considering that picture seems “right”, natural and simply enjoyable. When you start watching any video, whether its sports event, horror or action movie, you won’t feel like something bothers you and needs to be adjusted.

In spite of this fact, Panasonic pt ae4000u allows user to make some serious calibration. This model has two different sets of options – simple and advanced, so if you would like to do some gamma adjustments, you are free to make them with maximum accuracy. With Split Screen Calibration feature you can put two images side by side and see how your actions affect the image quality. After the job is done, you can save or drop the changes.

Panasonic pt ae4000u lumen output is powerful enough to fight the ambient light. When you use the device during the daytime or for watching some sports events, simply switch to the dynamic mode and you will get the perfect balance of brightness and color. It is very important, that even at the brightest setting it shows almost no quality loss.

Sharpness doesn’t deserve any criticism either, image is crisp and you won’t notice any picture noise from the reasonable sitting distance. Besides, this projector features an exclusive Smooth-screen filter technology that reduces visual pixelization significantly.

The device is extremely quiet and the level of fan noise is so low, that you probably won’t ever pay attention to it.

User-friendly menu interface and convenient remote control also have to be mentioned in this panasonic pt ae4000u review, because these two things make operation and calibration a breeze. You won’t have any problem with finding necessary commands, they are broken into sections and easily accessible.

The verdict is categorical: if you are planning to spend around 2 thousand dollars on the new projector, then buy this model and every penny will pay off with outstanding picture quality.

Optoma hd20 1080p proves, that projector can show an outstanding picture quality and be cheap at the same time. The combination of low image noise, great brightness and sharpness result into a smooth, breath catching performance. Small weight, compact size and logical menu make this device perfect for home usage.

The Optoma HD20 brings a new level of flexibility to your High-Definition home theater/multi-media experience. With true 1080p resolution, the HD20 delivers excellent color saturation and subtle details for superior image quality. With its sleek design and weight of 6.4 lbs, the Optoma HD20 is perfect for sharing big-screen movies, sporting events and concerts or for taking your video gaming to the next level by connecting the HD20 to your favorite game console.

If this is your first experience of picking the projector for entertainment purposes, you will be absolutely delighted with this model, because it does an equally good job with movies, sports events and videogames. This projector has plenty of setting options, so you don’t even need to make any adjustments inside of the room, where projector will be installed, just pick the right mode and enjoy your leisure time. Whether it’s a daytime and the room is filled with sunlight, or an evening, when the family gathered in darkness to watch a movie, this projector has a suitable color and brightness balance for any situation.

Image quality is the first and the most important thing, that should be said about in this Optoma HD20 review. It handles Blue Ray and HDTV formats with dignity, displaying razor sharp, bright picture in natural, deep colors. Out if the box color saturation is really good, but if you want to make it perfect, it won’t take you much time and effort. After a slight correction of color temperature it becomes truly vibrant. If you pay attention to the flesh tones, you will notice the surprisingly great color accuracy right away. Optoma hd20 home theater projector will not disappoint you on dark scenes and shadow details which turn out very clear and well defined.

Be sure, while watching a movie in a dark room, like you do in the cinema, you will literally dive in the virtual world, thanks to the exceptionally realistic picture.

When it comes to the sports programs, concerts and TV shows, there is absolutely nothing to criticize about this projector. It does great with brightness and sharpness, so there is no chance, that blurry image will distract you from what’s going on the screen and make you miss some important detail.

Regarding the small size and weight of the unit, you can change its position as often, as you want. Installation won’t cause you any trouble as well, because in order to focus and zoom the image all you have to do is to roll the wheel around the objective and another one on top of it.

The convenient remote control also should be mentioned in this Optoma HD20 review. Big number of shortcut buttons makes the operation very simple and quick. Another nice and very useful feature is the bright blue backlight, it allows an easy and fast control even with the lights off.

This unit has several helpful additional features. For example, you can select the period of time up to 180 minutes, after which the projector will shut off automatically if it is not being used. Another remarkable option is a black level enhancement, which will come in handy when the scene lacks brightness. The device also goes with a screen trigger, that automatically lowers the motorized screen when you press the power button.

Optoma hd65 is an excellent value for the money. It is highly portable, energy efficient and very bright. In addition to that, it has truly rich colors, wide connectivity options, convenient remote control and intuitively understandable menu for easy operation and calibration. Without any doubts, it is one of the best offers, currently available on market in this class of projectors.

Powered by DLP technology and featuring a multitude of connections and functionality, the HD65 delivers the vivid and the vibrant in picture performance and image quality. Featuring 1600 lumens, a 4000:1 contrast ratio (with ImageAI), native 720p High-Definition resolution, and a 16:9 aspect ratio in a sleek and diminutive form factor at 4 pounds with extensive connectivity options.

The majority of people that buy projectors are absolutely clear on what they want to get from this purchase: in the first place, it is a perfect image quality and in the second – fast setup, effortless control, minimum of calibration and maintenance. In other words, device has to do the job perfectly and be unnoticeable at the same time. Well, Optoma hd65 projectors fit all of the mentioned above parameters.

This model doesn’t need any pre-use calibration, considering that all of the adjustable settings are originally well balanced. Don’t underestimate this advantage, because even though all of the projectors are supposed to be set up perfectly right of the box, most of them need serious adjustments, while this device gives almost a hundred percent of its capabilities without user’s intervention.

Perfect color reproduction, almost inky blacks, good shadow details and sharpness result into a dynamic, crisp, realistic picture. But this projector doesn’t only deliver the image with maximum color accuracy, it also has a huge set of features, that increase its quality. For example, Edge Mask feature enhances the object’s contour contrast, Tru-Vivid option allows to control the image saturation and AI circuitry automatically adjust the brightness on dark scenes.

This projector is exceptionally bright even at the economy mode, so you can use it under any light conditions without fearing to lose the picture quality. Moreover, when the Cinema mode with the best color reproduction and lowest lumen output is switched on, projector is still fairly bright, so you can enjoy deep and vivid colors not only in the completely dark room.

Compact size and small weight also have to be mentioned in this Optoma HD65 review
among the other strong points of the model, because these physical characteristic allow you to take the projector anywhere you want and use it for business purposes as well as for home entertainment. In addition to that, the device has a wide variety of inputs, so you won’t have any problems, trying to hook it up with the source in conference room, your bedroom or wherever else.

Optoma hd65 lamp is very durable, it has 2000 of estimated life hours in the full power mode and plus thousand extra hours in economy mode. An important role in the lamp life extension belongs to the filter free design, which significantly reduces the possibility of overheating.

At the end of this Optoma HD65 review we have to summarize, that projector is definitely very strong overall, since it doesn’t have any shortcomings, which may spoil the general impression and distract you from watching the video.

When it comes to choosing such home appliance as a projector hardly there is a person who will buy it without first thoroughly checking the available reviews and ratings of what is sold in the market. Being not cheap at all a projector really demands some time to be spent on its choice before the purchase can be done. One of the most highly reviewed dlp projectors nowadays is the BenQ W6000 model. Sitting in the middle-class range in terms of price it delivers results comparable to the models that a twice more expensive thus giving a very good value for money spent on it. It has high lumen output, perfect natural colours, amazing brightness and contrast.

Projectors, BenQ, W6000 2500 Lumens 1920 x 1080 50000:1 DLP Projecto, W6000

Spending quite a lot of time together with all family members at home watching movies, series and sport events we were thinking of buying a good projector for some time already. After going through the reviews we came to a conclusion that BenQ W6000 would be the best solution for our home theatre meeting our price limit and technical characteristics demand. We ordered it online and all were very excited expecting its arrival. When delivered it turned out to be quite heavy for such a small thing actually but, what’s very good, it has various mounting options. Can be placed basically anywhere – on a shelf, on a coffee table in front of the screen or under the ceiling – wherever you like. Meanwhile we have put it on a table but will later fix it to the ceiling. Though being very little BenQ W6000 is very bright with a 2500 lumens output. It required some calibration in our living room where we have tried to isolate all external light but some sunbeams are still sneaking in. But finally we came to a picture that seems ideal for everyone – bright and colorful. With a resolution of 1080 p BenQ W6000 the picture’s contrast looks fantastic – non-comparable to any tv screen. Surely, it also depends on the quality of the content but those movies, which we tried already looked great. All the details are clear, the shapes are sharp and we had a real feeling of presence inside the screen. Kids had watched already all their favorite fairy tales and cartoons and are absolutely happy. Indeed, the scenery looks very realistic and enjoyable for watching. The colors are natural, especially the skin colors which are often looking strange even in the cinema. The blacks are deep and with the details still visible and not just a big black screen. Even during the daytime when some light manages to squeeze into the room blacks are still blacks and action is visible. For example, in the last 2-3 parts of Harry Potter there are many scenes played at night or in dark spaces and when we were watching them on our TV sometimes it was hard to see anything, not even thinking of details. While with BenQ it is completely different. The picture is clear and we could see all the details and faces. During high-action scenes the picture stays sharp and clear with all the details. When in operation Benq W6000 almost does not heat up though it was one of my main concerns as all projectors that we have in the office can be perfectly well used as room heaters during cold winter days. But this one stays cool and does not provide any inconvenience to its neighbors. There is also almost no fan noise produced by it. It is very slight and I think will be not noticed at all when projector is ceiling-mounted. One more great thing about BenQ W6000 is an option of picture in picture that allows us not to miss the start of favorite series when we have news on while having dinner. The remote control is a typical tower design with clear names on buttons and lighting function. As for the connectivity BenQ W6000 can be connected to any type of video equipment from a DVD payer to a digital camera; it can be also connected to a computer as well as it has a USB output. What’s best about BenQ W6000 is indeed its price/quality. We have seen earlier the projectors of our friends and all of them gave either worse picture or similar. But those, which had same brightness and sharpness were much more expensive. Why pay extra when you can get the same for lower price?
